Welcome to YOUR Network

Welcome! to your new, expanded SNAP. Still the same great events and activities, now with a more comprehensive, interactive online component, where you can interact, contribute and communicate with other members.

Get started: Step 1 -- Become a member, get all the event news. Step 2: create a website profile (membership req'd), participate and interact with others.

The Social Network of Arab Professionals is a grassroots organization where Canadian Professionals of Arab Heritage gather, network and provide mutual support. We have meetings, we socialize and we exchange ideas in an open forum. Our goal-oriented activities span the range from professional and educational functions, to recreational, cultural and athletic events.

SNAP objectives

  • Participate in, and contribute positively to Canadian society.

  • Provide a peer network for Arab-Canadian professionals.

  • Encourage links to professional organizations.

  • Encourage awareness of Arab businesses and professionals in the local area.

  • Encourage members to make use of existing services and resources of other Arab and Canadian community and social organizations.

It is SNAP's policy to steer clear of subject matters directly linked to arab politics and religion.

Arabs CAN curl!

It was a great event; a true Canadian sport (that apparently originated in Scotland ~ go figure!!)...the object of the game is to push a heavy "stone" down a "sheet" of ice by helping it down its path with sweeping brooms! Sounds crazy and it's not much fun to watch, but it's a BLAST to play! SNAPees became "Canadianized" with this sport on Feb.22, 2009. The following is a picture account of their Canadianization experience ;o)
